How to Turn Off/Disable Windows 7 Jumplist Recent List

Windows 7 Taskbar aka Superbar is way different from Vista and XP. Windows 7 Taskbar by default only shows application and program icon and on right clicking on these icon populates jumplist. Windows 7 jumplist is designed to increase your productivity by proving access to recent program list and other important shortcuts.

One big issue of Windows 7 Jumplist is, it can invade your privacy since Jumplist also populates most recently used/opened documents, video and audio list. We are sure many of you don’t want to display such information.

Don’t worry just follow below guide to turn off/disable Recent Windows 7 Jump list.

How to Disable Windows 7 Recent Jumplist

1. Right Click on Windows 7 Taskbar and Click on Properties

Windows 7 Taskbar Properties

2. Click on Startup Tab

Disable Recent list of Windows Jumplist

4. Click on Apply and Ok

That’s it.
